About: North Middlesex Hospital

On my course of radiotherapy treatment, I found the staff kind, helpful, efficient and paid attention to detail ( good job, understanding the importance of positioning to ensure the right spot is hit). My privacy and dignity was respected which is so important to me, as I don't want to sit with no clothes apart from a gown waiting with young and old men and women. All staff introduced themselves and checked if I was okay and if I had any questions. The young male student checked was it okay he could be present during my treatment. The only downfall is the scheduling of the treatments. All my sessions were not on time, I may might as well have come late each time. Waiting an hour seemed to be acceptable by staff without no explanation. . This system failure is wrong. When you have children and other commitments time booking s are essential and should be respected. I accept that some patients with complex needs more time but that should be factored into the overall schedule, if that would be the case, but I am speculating and can't be the case every day. Ps note no side effects of the treatment so all good and thank you, just short of the management of the time slots
