"some nurses & cleaners/assistants ..."

About: Manor Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

some nurses & cleaners/assistants were lovely, understand how your feeling during the stay in hospital.

how clean the hospital was in some areas was great but others was terrible

What could be improved

waiting times in clinics is terrible on many appointments. ( ive even heard many staff complaining about the consultants too) ive been lying on a bed waiting to be examined & the consultant and nurse/assistant have been having full blown arguments regarding being too busy!!

the discharge room is absolutly terrible, after coming from your hospital bed to have to wait in a small cramped room for hours like i did is totally out of order.

although not an issue with myself but the car parks a major issue with people too

for myself dignity was a big issue too unfortuatly, especially after surgery on the ward

Anything else?

Ive been treated at this hospital many of times including many hospital stays too after surgery x2. Ive now come to the point where i dread going and get very stressed. ive made a number of complaints in the past but didnt really get resolved. At times ive been treated terrible inc by a consultant. ive got to go in for surgery in 2weeks and am not looking forward to staying at the manor if im honest.

I am concerned and disappointed by the content of your recent posting, and I would urge you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team as soon as possible on 01922 656463. As a patient under our care, we certainly would not want you to be suffering any unnecessary anxiety prior to your treatment. Through speaking to our PALS team we can look into your concerns in better detail for you, and also update you on the progress that has been made on any previous issues raised.

As you are very aware hospitals can be busy environments and our staff do work hard to provide the best care for our patients. However I am disappointed by your recent experience and I would like to assure you that as a Trust we take patient experience very seriously, so your feedback has been much appreciated.

Please keep us updated on your future experiences and best wishes for your forthcoming treatment.
