Discusting filthy A and E I have unfortunately visited this department a few times tonight however was the worst . Vomit everywhere on the flor as I walked in with my son of 6 who had a bad puncture wound to his face. There seemed to be more done and people rushed through the more foul and rude they where . We sat for 5 hours and they didn't even offer my son calpol for the pain. We had been sent there by northwich infirmary. So if you can travel and avoid this place then I urge you to do so .

I am sincerely sorry that you found the environment and service within the emergency department to be below the standard that is usually provided for our patients. All patients are seen in order of their clinical need using the Manchester Triage system and pain relief should be offered at triage. I am extremely sorry if this did not happen when you and your son were seen. With regards to the cleanliness of the department, I apologise if this was not cleaned in an appropriate time. The department is currently reviewing the cleaning hours and schedules to meet the cleanliness demands on the unit. I will share your comments with all the team to raise awareness of your concerns and to ensure lessons are learnt.
