Four appointments for various tests and saw two doctors/consultants. Everyone very nice and caring as well as reassuring. The visits were with dignity and care and I felt that staff knew their jobs and how to relate to patients. Staff friendly. On a negative note, the admin/appointment system for this department needs looking at. So many people in reception at one time sometimes there are not enough seats. Then its a waiting game until a nurse takes you to the next section to wait again to see a doctor. I do personally think, being in the management sector myself, that the appointments need spacing out more rather than trying to fit so many people in one go. I waited nearly four hours in total for one visit. Thank you.

Many thanks for providing us with this important feedback following your recent visits to our Ophthalmology Department. We were very pleased to hear that you felt the care and treatment you received was of a high standard, but would like to offer our sincere apologies for the long wait you experienced on at least one of your appointments. We will certainly forward your comments on to the Head of our Ophthalmology Services as we are sure they will also be most appreciative of your feedback. Unfortunately, due to the high numbers of patients needing to be seen in our Eye Clinic and in trying to keep the waiting time for an appointment within a reasonable timeframe, there can sometimes be longer waits in the Clinic than we would prefer. However, I am sure your comments will be noted and if there is anything we can do to improve this situation, we will endeavour to do so.
