I gave birth at Warrington on the 24th Septber and stayed on the labour ward for 3 days following that. The care and support I received before, during and after giving birth was excellent and The midwifes were very knowledgable, professional and provided valuable support whilst I was trying to breastfeed. The food that was provided was varied and good and the areas were always kept very clean. My only criticism would be to have the bed sheets changed more often when staying on the labour ward. Due to some complications I attended the antenatal day unit on a number of occasions prior to birth. I was regularly kept waiting for over an hour to go in to be monitored and on one occasion was there for 5 hours whilst waiting for a doctor to come down from the labour ward. Whilst I understand there are busy periods a suggestion to improve would be to tell people how long the wait may be so that they can get fresh air or refreshments. I cannot recommend Warrington highly enough as a place to give birth. The whole experience with the hospital has been extremely positive and the care and attention I received was excellent. Thank you to all the staff.
