"hard working junior doctors- bullying consultant"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

I was admitted with a nosebleed last month onto ward B20, my care was satisfactory. But I must comment on how I saw the junior doctors being treated by a consultant. This man was rude, bordering on abusive to staff. This was like something from a carry on film. He publicly berated the doctors and the nurses, leaving me with little confidence in the care they provided. Once he had gone, i actually saw that his team was made up of kind, considerate doctors, ably assisted by fantastic nursing staff. I feel sorry for these staff. In days of old, a shouting consultant may have been the norm, but i do not appreciate being witness to such apalling, unprofesional and arrogant behaviour. Shame on you.
