There were vending machines within the hospital however they were removed due to the higher cost charged to patients than for the same products available in the coffee bar. There was also concern that as a hospital we were probably not promoting healthy lifestyles by having these machines in the hospital with the products on offer. These products were somewhat dictated by the companies who provided them to us.

The coffee bar has now re-opened with input from the patients and has an good selection of items available. There is a traffic light system in place to guide people on the nutritional value of different items.
