I would like to give feedback on my experience as a patient visiting the breast screening unit at broad green hospital. as an NHS nurse I am more aware of the bad press services receive and want to express my gratitude to the efficient staff that I came into contact with whilst undergoing routine breast screening? Communication was excellent, staff were efficient and ensured my dignity was maintained at all times. I prepared myself for a long wait however I was surprised to experience a fast service with a record waiting time of approximately five minutes from my arrival! which incidentally was ten minutes earlier than my appointment time. The speedy service enabled me to return to my nursing duties and did not impact on my working day all. my sincere thanks to all staff I came into contact with. when times of increased work loads and reduced finances I felt your service was second to none. I cannot remember the name of the radiographer who attended to me however my appointment time was 13:45 on 16 October 2014 and who hope my thanks can be passed on. Yours jacqueline Taylor
