"Gall stone stuck in common bile duct"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

The A & E department are struggling, patients left on trolleys in the corridors waiting to get into the Medical Assessment Centre. Eventually had to go down to an overflow ward (acute stroke ward) with no mobile reception or wi-fi access, although there was wi-fi available they wouldn't allow the patients to have the key. Had a gall stone attack when I was attending as an out patient, This was ignored in the ward and I was examined for a suspected pulmonary embolism which turned out to be nothing. I kept explaining that I had a Gall bladder attack and after having an ultra sound scan showing there was a stone stuck in my common bile duct. The ward doctor at first insisted that I was clear, after telling him twice that I'd seen the stone in question and had been informed by the Radiologist who did the scan that a stone was indeed stuck, he went to find out for himself. Forty minutes later he returned saying there was a stone stuck in the common bile duct. He insisted I was to be discharged and had to go my GP for a new appointment, At home a few days later I got the tremendous pain and nearly blacked out. I didn't call the A & E because of the reaction I'd received from them earlier. I took very powerful pain killers and somehow got through the attack but I have no idea what damage has been done to the common bile duct. Dates were as follows: admission date = 07/10/2014 discharge date= 10/10/2014 Ward WRH Acute Stroke unit (Avon)
