"Waiting time"

About: Pontefract General Infirmary

My partner has had to make an appoinment with the pain clinic, i tried to arrange this on 17th Oct and the earliest appointment i can get is 10th December. This is yet another step in trying to figure what is wrong with him, he has been off work for months now and looks like it will at least be another month due to the waiting period. Is there anything we can do to speed this process. He is desperate to get back to work.

The pain service is experiencing a very level of demand presently. The usual process, where a patient's condition is worsening, would be for the patient's GP to be asked to contact the service to request that the appointment be expedited on the basis of clinical need.
