I was admitted to Ward 15 on Monday 13 October 2014 with acute appendicitis. I spent two nights on the ward. All staff, from surgical spectalists to cleaners provided the most excellent care imaginable. All were friendly, caring and extremely professional. I had the operation on Tuesday 14th. and was discharged on 15th. Nothing was too much trouble for the nursing staff. The level of care and cleanliness were extremely impressive. At every stage of my stay, information was readily offered about the causes of my malady, the treatment and probable outcomes. If I was to have paid privately for this care, it could not have achieved a higher standard. I am extremely grateful to all concerned, who made my first hospital stay as pleasant as it could possibly have been. Thank you all. Bob Hood
