"Still waiting to hear about operation"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

my husband saw a consultant on the 24th of September about an injury on his toe. he recommended than the tip of his big toe needed to be removed quickly as the bone in that area was infected. he promised to do the operation within the next two weeks. two weeks went buy and we heard nothing so my husband phoned the consultants secretary to be told that it had been forgotten about.

It was then scheduled for the 16th of October when we heard nothing through the post I phoned on his behalf to be told that the operation had been cancelled with no new date

we are still waiting to hear when this operation is due to take place. my husband has all but given up but I'm worried about the infection spreading cause now the toe is hurting.

I've phoned pals and they are still waiting to here from the secretary so that was a waste of space I'm know at my wits end and still non the wiser on whats going to happen
