I was admitted to the day ward at the Barnsley District General hospital for an endoscopy. I was nervous but the nurses and doctors put me at ease by taking the time to explain the procedure to me.
Afterwards, I was taken to ward 29 to stay overnight. I was monitored regularly and I was made to feel as comfortable as possible. The only downside was that I didn't get anything to eat.
The next morning went ok - I was discharged at 12:00 and came home by taxi. It was a positive experience. Thank you.
