"A dichotomy"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I have recently attended Leicester Royal and Leicester General. a) I attended for an UltraSound scan. I arrived early as is my normal practice. What I witnessed was not what I expected. Two members of staff standing gossiping and to use the term ‘bitching’ about everything, I found that most disrespectful and not something that a patient should witness. The actual procedure went fine, the member of staff who did the procedure was professional in all aspects of her work. Did the other two have nothing better to do? c) Venepuncture, the staff there are as good as you can get, friendly, professional and a credit to the NHS So far I have been pleased with the treatment and a small number of staff is creating a disservice to the NHS.

Dear reviewer, We are really sorry to hear you had such a varied experience across our hospitals. We are pleased to hear the level of care you received was professional and friendly, but are concerned about the unprofessional nature of the conversations you overheard. This is not acceptable at our hospitals so we ask you to please get in touch with the PILS team with more information so we can look into this for you https://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/patients/patient-welfare/patient-information-and-liaison-service/contact-form/ Kind regards Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
