Last April, I was rushed into QMC after a mild heart attack. My treatment there could not be faulted. About 10 days ago I was taken into QMC with similar symptoms. Blood tests did not reveal that I had suffered another heart attack. The cardiac consultant decided that I should be tested on a treadmill. As it was saturday and nothing could be done over the weekend, I was allowed to go home. The consultant asked the doctor if he could arrange for the test to be done on monday. I was told that I would be informed.
After a few days, I phoned and was told that the test would probably be done at the end of the following week. When I phoned again, I was told that I was now booked in for 27th March, which was a futrher 25 day delay. I think that this was totally unsatisfactory.
"Unacceptably long delay for cardiology test at QMC"
