"I'm afraid my comment isn't ..."

About: Lincoln County Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I'm afraid my comment isn't positive, but it would be disingenuous to suggest that everything was bad. A number of the staff, for instance, were extremely helpful - other, however, were far from it!

What could be improved

It is my assertion, that the Hospital is under resourced in terms of manpower, equipment and beds to meet the demands levied against it. Accordingly, there appeared to be a policy of stacking patients in the A&E department and only applying an appropriate sense of urgency when theay (me in this case) had reached a 9 hr point after admission. The problem/patient was tranferred to the AEU whereby the process of hurry up and wait begins again. This looks to me like there is a mindset of meeting targets and letting them drive the care policy. I sincerely hope this isn't the case, but the recent NHS problems that have hit the press reflect the throughput policy that I was subject to. I should add that I have formally complained and written to my MP about this.
