I was admitted for my gall bladder removal on 13th October. I was allowed to stay at home as my surgery was late on in the day. All the formalities of admission went very well and I was sent over to the short stay surgical ward to wait. I was reassured at all times that the surgery would go ahead even being so late in the day. Every member of staff showed me extreme kindness from porters, theatre staff and ward staff. I saw a doctor in recovery who advised me that the op had gone smoothly and I was taken back to the ward. The post op care was second to none, with my every need met. I was very impressed by the "snack box" I was offered. The night staff were just as efficient and kind. In the morning the consultant visited me very early and once again advised me all went well. The discharge procedures were just as smooth, with all my questions answered and post op advice given. I was safely home by 10-30am. A really big thank you to you all
