I visited the Cardiology suite last week for an angiogram and possible angioplasty and in general terms found the staff and the treatment I was given really good. We arrived for an 8.00 appointment and by 8.15 I was in the ward where the Ward staff and the Doctors were excellent in the manner in which I was treated and looked after. The only problem related to a missing tie strap on the surgical gown resulting in untoward rear end flashing but this was quickly solved with adhesive tape. Taking into consideration that the unit deals with emergencies and routine cases and that priority must be given accordingly I was very impressed with the pure numbers of patients dealt with in a single day and the professional caring manner in which it was done. The consultant, doctors and nurses were always able and willing to reassure me in any matter or explain any concern. My thanks to all these hard working, very competent and caring staff concerned with my treatment. I now await an appointment for a triple bypass operation in a London hospital but if they can equal this unit then I will go with confidence in the results. I was impressed!
