My son came in September for his grommets operation everything went brilliant my son is only 1 unfortunately after the operation he was very distressed i laid with him trying to calm him when a nurse turned up and said dont you think you should take him outside hes screaming alot and theres other children here. I was so upset my child was disorientated and scared and i was doing my best to comfort him and i was asked to remove him cos he was crying. She even went as far as getting a pram for me to take him out in the cold wet windy day aside from her the staff were amazing and very comforting as i was very nervous for him

I hope that your son has recovered well after his operation, he sounds to have been distressed. I am sorry that the nurse made you feel upset when you needed to be supported and were doing your best to comfort him, that is not how we expect patients to be made to feel. I am however pleased that you describe the rest of the staff as amazing. Your comments will be shared with the team. Thank you.
