I was admitted to hospital on the 30th September 2014, with de-hydration after falling ill on a recent trip to Egypt After extensive tests and attention I was sent under isolation into a room on the Acute Cardiac Ward, where I stayed until discharged on the 6th October 2014 The staff in A&E, and ACU were marvellous, nothing was too much trouble, and although quite ill and "wired up" to the machinery, I can almost say that I enjoyed my stay The level of care and attention I received from the Doctors, Nurses, Staff, and Health care assistants was second to none The catering staff produced good quality food, and I was never short of drinks or company I observed that my fellow patients all received equal care and attention. I admit that I did take chocolates into the hospital as a thank you to all the staff on ACU But I also felt it was worth mentioning here for Joe Public to see as well Stafford may have had bad press in the past, but I neither looked or located any examples of bad nursing or care practises during my stay The title of my review is simply that 4 years ago I suffered a massive heart attack immediately outside Cannock hospital. Luckily due to my location and the crash team I survived to tell the tale, having been blue lighted to Stafford and onto N-U-L for final angioplasty and Stents This time I was ill I collapsed in my GP's reception area, so my location was again perfect ! So again a huge thanks to all at Stafford for getting me back to full health and into work within a fortnight yours sincerely
