"The good and the bad at KandS"

I was in the KandS some time ago and still can't get over my treatment. I was there for 6 weeks on and off, bed bound for much of the time. From what I saw, some of the nurses treated older ladies around me appallingly. The physiotherapists seemed much more interested in chatting than working. The food was dreadful, I am not fussy but I couldn't eat this muck. Cleanliness? Well, I left the hospital with c-diff. Thank God I got out before it was diagnosed or I fear that I might have died.

Some of the staff were great, my surgeon was highly skilled, some of the nursing was excellent and a couple of the domestic staff were exceptionally pleasant and hardworking. I think that the systemic failure in the hospital might be around leadership and staffing levels, but it needs to be sorted out.
