"a&e"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

dreadful place. I have attended A&E twice in the past week whilst in severe pain and unable to walk. On both occasion staff just went in and out of rooms chatting to each other. It's like we weren't there at all. Doctor would call in patient then after patient left, nothing. 20 mins later the Doctor would come out and disappear in staff room. 4 hr wait to see GP and then just sent home, unable to walk and in severe pain, totally disgraceful. I work and pay tax and ni and for what. Total disdain and treated like dirt. There was only 9 patients at the most at 10pm, 1 when I left and he had been there longer than me. If I go back again I would film them. There were two doctors and several nurses mainly doing nothing and disappear into into staff room. My friend said they are all on work to rule because of 12 hour shifts and not enough staff. With an attitude like that it's no wonder they all look so miserable! Shameful!!
