I was admitted through A&E to Ward 5. My problem was suspected at admission, and within 24 hours I had been scanned and diagnosis confirmed. All very efficient and caringly done. I was transferred to ward 5 for a further 6 nights, where again I was looked after very professionally and considerately by medical and nursing staff. I could see that patients were getting the care that their conditions seemed to call for, which in a very busy ward was absolutely correct. The conditions in the ward were exemplary. It was clean - and the housekeeper came round every day - and the showers and toilets were well maintained. And the food was wholesome and adequate, with a good choice of dishes. I would not hesitate to recommend Leighton to friends and family. This was my third inpatient experience: the previous two were just as good, even although they were a long time ago.
"I couldn't have hoped for better."
