"Incorrect Results"

About: Lister Hospital

Having had a colposcopy for mild changes, I was signed off for 3 years only to find out a year later they got my results wrong, this lead to a further smear which showed I now have High Grade pre cancerous cells. Disgusting that a hospital can get something so important so wrong. I will never go here again.

We're sorry that you are unhappy with the care you received, but where we spot that something may not be right it is really important that we take the appropriate action - which in your case will have been to explain what happened and why, as well as arrange for a further colposcopy to deal with the cells indentifed. In the vast majority of cases, this procedures is an effective treatment and whilst we accept your disappointment, if you would like someone to talk you through what happened, please email us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net
