"Made an awful experience bareable"

Had three experiences of examinations each one more intrusive. Not good no one can say it can be anything other than unpleasent. BUT professionism and humanity of all staff consultants, nursing, clerical and support staff was AMAZING. My experience of other departments lead me to expect a mixture of good, bad and indifferent but EVERY SINGLE person I had dealings with was efficient, professional and treated me as I would want to be treated. And much better than I expected. I was stuck in a traffic jam on my way to the hospital so I rang to say I might be a little late "Don't worry, I'll pass on a message, just get here safely". Little things mean a lot. Does this department get first pick of staff?
