"A Hardworking, Compassionate Team-Thank You!"

My husband and I visited A & E Basingstoke late Saturday afternoon with an injury to my his forearm that bled heavily due to a vein being hit with a tiny piece of metal. The ambulance crew were efficient, polite, and arrived very quickly-approx 10 minutes. My husband was treated when we arrived, and was nothing other than professional, polite and considerate-an absolute credit to the NHS. The reception staff are also worth mentioning-they are the face, and I'm sure get the worst of it at times, yet remain calm, courteous and efficient. We couldn't have chosen a worst time to visit, and the wait was extremely long, but the staff worked really well under pressure and we just want to thank them again. Tony was operated on last night, and again, the staff on the ward, and in the operating theatre were upbeat, professional, and kind. We have the upmost of respect for the demands put upon them all, and hope this praise is fed back to them as they deserve the recognition. How they manage even a smile after working a 12 hour shift like that is beyond me! Thank you again. Sacha & Tony Shaw
