I arrived with a bad burn to my hand. I waited 20 minutes to see a triage nurse by which stage I was in severe pain. I pleaded for some firm of pain relief and was offered to run my hand under the tap. I told her of feeling sick and light headed. I was told there is a 3 hour wait. I asked 30 minutes later for dome help and pain relief whilst I waited in the waiting room. I spent most of my time in the toilet with my hand under the cold tap. I waited done more before being sick twice in the toilets and getting dizzy whilst in agony and very, very sore and burning. I had to leave in the end to come home. I have no idea what to do now. I couldn't sit there, sick, I'm agony and dizzy whilst receiving no help whatsoever! I appreciate I was not the only person in need of help but some form of pain relief would have helped with the waiting. To the nurse...I am not a number, I was a person in desperate need of help. To you it is probably routine, to me , the pain from the burning is anything but routine. A shame as PRH is normally so good.
