"The doctor & nurse need Customer Service training."

About: Beaumont Hospital

Receptionist was fine, waiting room was clean. I was called by a nurse who disappeared down a corridor before I had even got out my seat. I was looking left and right then a different member of staff asked if i needed help. The nurse then popped her head out of a room and pointed down one end of the corridor and said wait there. She went back inside and shut the door again. No apology or nothing for disappearing. She wasnt friendly at all. When the Dr eventually called me he was disengaged the whole time, didnt look me in the eye, didnt smile. He made it obvious he didnt want to be there. I did most of the talking as he would give me vague short answers so i had to keep asking questions. I felt extremely uncomfortable there. He gave me a prescription and told me to make another appointment. I couldnt wait to get out of there. The atmosphere was awful. I went to the nurse after the appointment to get a prescription. She acted like I was inconveniencing her by being there, she snatched it out of my hand and tried to go back into her office again and I had to ask her to wait so I could ask her where i needed to collect the prescription and when, she closed the door without saying bye once she answered. I had to find my own way to the appointments office. The staff in there were lovely and friendly. I decided against my follow up appointment. I will not be going back to outpatients there, I will go elsewhere.
