Had all my babies in the Women's. My first c-section went bit mad. The life saving doctors and midwives saved us. My second c-section was like a dream.
I returned to have my third. I was very sad that it was not the same doctors, but all felt in safe hands in the Women's.
In the c-section, they got baby out but they couldn't stop the bleeding. Had to have my womb removed to save my life. 6 hours later I was awake again with doctors around me telling me the news. Some of the doctors and midwives are really angels. One midwife (Emma I think was her name) she was there right to the end. Thank you all.
Then I went to the ward. The midwives were more busy, they were talking about vodka and going out. I was in a side room all alone. When I was being sick, I pushed the bell to get help, but had to ask to help me grab baby off me.
One staff member even spent more time chatting up my partner! Then I was asked if I would be using the pill. That hurt as I had no womb left.
The hospital was great. Thanks. They are always in my prayers. But the ward was not good. Thank god I never have to go back. It was so much better 4 years ago.
