I visited whiston hospiltal on friday 10 October with my husband to see his neurology doctor he has parkinsons and at the moment he has got a chest infection .When we were coming out after being seen there were loads of people stood directely outside the entrance all smoking we had to walk through this the smoke which set my husbandt off caughing this is not acceptable in my eyes people go to hospital because they are ill in some way could you please do something about this I know this is an addiction but surley you can find them someware else to smoke and save us non smokers and sick people from having to walk through this smoke.

Thank you for your comments following your recent attendance at Whiston Hospital. I am sorry to hear of the experience you had at the entrance. The Trust is a in fact a no smoking site but unfortunately managing this is proving problematic. We are currently considering a number of options to ensure our entrance is smoke free in the future and I will forward your comments to the team responsible for this.
