Dear alfitZ

NHS Grampian apologises that you have not received the information you required in relation to flu jabs this year.

We hope the information below answers your query buf if not please call your GP or NHS Grampian.

People are offered flu vaccination as follows:

Over 65 - GP practices. Patients receive a centrally generated letter advising them that they will be offered flu vaccine by their practice. If the GP practices decide they are using a town hall or any other venue to run their clinics then they must inform their patients of this

Under 65 at risk (including pregnant women) - GP practices advise their patients when their clinics are to run and/or offer them opportunistic vaccination when they attend for any other reason (usually the smaller practices)

Health and Social Care staff - OHS or selected community pharmacies will provide. Details found at www.nhsgrampian.org/fluvax

Primary school aged children - vaccination provided at the primary school of attendance. No reoffers are made if the child is absent on the day the vaccinations are administered unless the child is in an "at risk" category when they can be picked up by GP

2-5 year olds not at school - called in by GP practices

Update posted by alfitz (the patient)

Ref your comments: IF Forres Health Centre had put the 'Place' for the flu jabs on the website, I wouldn't have needed to comment, and you wouldn't have needed to reply (albeit, with the lengthy explanation about NHS Grampian and their failings.)

Fortunately we DID find out via another source, so all is well!

Alan
