I was diagnosed in 2012 with type 2 diabetes was put on 750mg Metformin. 12 months down the line, I was put on 500 mg Metformin, plus 80mg Gliclazide.
I kept having very loose bowels for 2yrs. I kept going back to doctors, who increased my Metformin to 1000 mg.
I was taking it for a month to six weeks until one day I nearly fainted in a store. Lucky for me there was a customer there who was a doctor, who asked me if I was a diabetic. I said what dosage I was on, and this doctor told me to go back to my GP and say that my dosage was too high. I did, and then my GP took me completely off metformin, but hasn't replaced it with anything else. I was told to come back in three months. Now I'm having cold clammy sweats. It just comes on and it's embarrising for me. I need advice on what to do.
