"Stay in AAU"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

I spent 3 nights in the AAU (Acute assessment unit) at the hospital. I think this new part of the hospital is really good. It's ever so clean in there. The staff in the unit are amazing. I was treated really well and all the staff looked after me really well. A special mention has to go to the Irish nurse in there who looked after me. She's really friendly and helpful, and has such a bubbly character. (Unfortunately I didn't get her name). She wasn't on shift when I left so I didn't get to say thank you to her.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on NHS Choices. It is always lovely to hear positive feedback from patients on the quality of care and treatment they have received. I will ensure that your kind words are received by the team involved in your care, who I’m sure, will be delighted. Mary Edwards, Chief Executive Email: mary.edwards@hhft.nhs.uk
