"Pain Clininc Review"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I had an appointment 16th August where the consultant was going to write a letter to my GP adjusting my medication and recommending I be put on further medications in 6 months if this does not improve. As yet there has been no letter despite my Surgery speaking to them and being told the letter was being typed and awaiting a signature and the consultant was away for a week, it would be signed and sent when he returned this was over 4 weeks ago and my Surgery has still not received said letter I consider this very poor. I do not blame the consultant he has been excellent I put this down to very bad Admin practice .

Thank you for sharing your experience on NHS Choices with us. I am sorry that your GP has not yet received the letter about your medication change. For me to be able to look into this for you, I require more details. Please contact me via our PALS team on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk. Yours sincerely, Stephen Burgess Medical Director
