A year ago I was sent by my consultant to have an endoscopy done at The Castle Hill Hospital. I had been suffering from undiagnosed stomach pains for 2 years.
Before I went, I had been told by various people who had had the procedure done, how horrible it would be. How wrong they were! It wasn't something I would like to have done regularly, but by no means was it the awful experince I was expecting.
The staff were marvellous, my nurse explained everything to me, talking me through my fears. I decided not to be sedated, so was allowed home very soon afterwards.
So a great big THANK-YOU to all the staff at the Endoscopy Unit, from start to finish you were all very kind, very professional, very caring. There's nothing more a patient could ask for.
