I was taken by ambulance to A&E during the evening of 3 October after collapsing following a fall on the fells earlier in the day. It was a very busy evening and I had to wait a while before being seen by a doctor but I did not feel abandoned and my situation was not urgent - a paramedic had conducted ECG etc. on my way to the hospital. After examination I was admitted to Larch ward for overnight observation. Without exception I was impressed by the calm, caring and professional attitude of the staff both in treating me and in the treatment of others that I witnessed during my stay. I could not have wished for better care and left feeling very impressed indeed with this excellent hospital
