I had this misfortune to have to visit A&E the other day and from a cleanliness point of view it is a disgrace. The waiting room and toilets are filthy and the smell of stale urine was quite disgraceful. The walls are shabby and the whole place reeks of neglect. For many people this is the first thing they see (and smell) on entering the hospital, and it is not a very welcoming or reassuring way to begin.

I am sorry to hear that your visit to A&E was not satisfactory and fell below the standard that we would want to achieve. Thank you for raising these issues regarding the premises which I have forwarded to the relevant managers for their attention.
