Be really careful if you book to have an op here and you're a self pay patient. Not only do they leave everything right to the last minute despite having plenty of time to be organised, they know you'll have booked your time off work, organised your home life and organised yourself for your recovery. It makes it harder to say no, I'll leave it, it all feels too last minute, especially the full cost of your op. The day before mine I was so angry, my instincts were saying cancel. I didn't. Make sure you have a good £10,000 to spare because I'm at £8,000 and still counting from a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. (No implants) that was nothing like the approximate quote given and they'll tell you it depends on the consultant you use. I say still counting because I have an infection so they're still charging me despite not being told the needle aspiration and culture sent to the lab was chargeable. My consultant normally does express when something's chargeable but not on this occasion. I'm in no mood to write a more detailed review here, I feel pretty awful (due to the infection) Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon with my consultants handiwork but there have been issues with other staff that I wouldn't have expected when paying for private care. Just be aware, as a self pay patient, you really are going to pay through the nose!
