"Where's the waiting list"

About: Manor Hospital

Got an appointment within an reasonable time, for Orthopaedic But then was given an other waiting time of approx 18 weeks for surgery. 14 weeks came, still no appointment, so rang up waiting list team, to be told ^there is no list, you will be told 2 weeks before surgery.* Thought bit strange, having no list. But my works would really like to be informed, more than 2 weeks beforehand, to arrange cover. At 17 weeks rang up again. Each time, it takes forever to get to speak to someone in this department. As my pain is worse, to be told this time, after hearing alot of pages been turned, *Oh there's a lot of cancellations in October and it will be sometime then.* Then they put phone down. Rang up on 18th week, to be told this time that, * there is cancellations in October, but people before you, and 18 weeks is approx., unfortunately your operation won't be done then.* So would like to no, as to when I will have this operation done after giving false hope.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. We're sorry to hear of your issues getting through via phone. If you could give our Patient Relations team a call on 01922 656463, we can better explain the procudure for waiting with regard to your specific care and also the reasons for an approximated waiting time. Or alternatively, email on patientrelations@walsallhealthcare.nhs.uk
