"cancer of bladder and ongoing treatment."

About: Lister Hospital

Over the last two years I have had treatment for cancer of the bladder. My time in hospital and the treatment I had was seconed to none! Out patiant treatment was always of a very high standard and I cannot speak to highly off the staff in the Urology department. Today the consultant said I was now clear of Cancer and I would just need regular checkups. Thanks again for all the excellent care I received at the Lister. Best regards George Roskilly.

George - yours is a message of hope for all those people who fear that getting cancer means the end of their lives. Whilst that risk exists, of course, growing numbers of people live with and survive getting cancer. And increasingly the high quality services we provide to our cancer patients are getting the recognition they need - and your experience is proof of that. We know that the urology team will be delighted to read your kind words by the way, which we will make sure reaches them asap. In the meantime, our very best wishes to you for the future.
