"Visit to Orthopaedic Outpatients"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

I visited the outpatients for the first time last week regarding a hip problem. The hospital is very busy but I did feel a sense of being in a well run and properly staffed hospital. I had to wait around quite a bit but I guess that is the normal when you are having xrays etc before seeing the consultant. The consultant I saw was excellent and explained everything to me very clearly and I feel confident that they will do their best to correct the problems I have. Would be interested to know how long the waiting list is for hip surgery, and also for MRI scans with an injection? Thanks for a great job Paul

Thank you for your comments, I am sorry that you experienced a bit of a wait but clearly you had up to date imaging reviewed by your Consultant and the treatment options explained well. If you would like to email the PALS service with your details we can identify the waiting times for your specific Consultant. Our email address is kch-tr.pals@nhs.net
