"Tonsillectomy"

About: Spire Liverpool Hospital

I had a privately-funded tonsillectomy at Spire in September 2014. The surgery was performed by the surgeon, and from the initial consultation through to the post-op follow-up appointment, the care by everyone I came into contact with was faultless. Before going in for the surgery I read a lot of horror stories online about the pain I should expect during recovery and this made me quite anxious. In reality, the discomfort I experienced after surgery was nothing more than you’d get with a bad case of tonsillitis, which anyone having this procedure will be well used to anyway. After two weeks signed off work I felt pretty much back to normal and I was able to eat three normal meals a day immediately after the surgery. If you need a tonsillectomy and are considering Spire then you’ll be in safe hands.
