"Good service in A&E"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

My 86 year old mum came into A&E at 7.40am on Monday as had trodden on glass and was on warfarin, so bleeding a lot. Reception staff kind. Reception clean. Seen in 15 minutes. Given a sandwich. Taken through for X-ray. Very nice porter wheels her to X-ray and makes her laugh as such a kind manner. X-ray in 10 minutes. Treating doctor saw her in another 15 minutes. Very nice and listened to her carefully even though my mum wanted to talk more about her warfarin treatment than the glass . Whole time and X-rays took 2 hours. Lovely staff throughout dealing with some very difficult patients which is why I wanted to say thanks.

It is such a pleasure to get such positive comments. It makes us proud as a department when our patients have such a positive experience. My name is Natasha Knutt, A&E matron (natasha.knutt@nhs.net) I will share your comments with my staff.
