"Hernia Repair . . ."

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

Firstly, I would like to thank all the staff for their efforts and expertise in the repair of my hernia; they can't be too highly praised! I wish particularly to say thank you to my surgeon, who performed the surgery (Thank you!!) and also to all three anaesthetists, without whom the surgery would not be possible. Thank you!! To all intents and purposes I can't fault the team. They cut me open and repaired my hernia. What more could I ask? The only slight 'disappointment' was that I did feel as if the nurse who initially attended to me was a little casual in her approach and could have perhaps given me a little more attention, although we probably all have those moments on our off days. Bottom line: thank you all for repairing me hernia!! God bless . . .

Dear ‘bneebear’ Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and I was delighted to hear that the surgery went so well for you. I hope you are able to take the time to rest and recuperate and that you make a full recovery very quickly. I thank you for the praise of the staff and I will make sure to pass it on to the department leads to share with their staff. I wish you well for the future and would very much like to hear about your experience of any outpatient follow up clinics you attend regarding your hernia repair. Regards Sue Mellor Head of Patient Engagement
