"Operation for dupytrens contracture 3rd October..."

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Dear Sirs This is the second time in the last 2 weeks that I have written a review about "The Vic". I must first apologise for having to type this with my left hand as the operation was on my right hand. Yet again I can only re-iterate was I said in my last review,. What an excellent experience I received in the surgical centre (Area 7) I know I cannot mention names but the experience was totally stress free from arrival at 7am to arrival home about 5pm. The staff were all so kind and made you feel relaxed at every stage. I cannot rate my treatment any higher. I had a couple of concerns which were clearly explained and felt totally satisfied at the way they were answered. I dont think there is much more that I can say except a big thank you to all those involved in the procedure and I feel totally confident of the clearly explained aftercare. We are so blessed to have the nhs and long may that continue. ps Post op sandwich delicious and the first cup of tea after op wonderful. The ambulance drivers home were courteous and hilarious.. Thanks again to all involved. David Crossley.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some more feedback.

I am really pleased to hear that staff in our surgical centre treated you just as well as our staff in the Lancashire Cardiac Centre. I will be sure to pass your feedback through to the Matron in the surgical centre for sharing with the teams involved in your care.

Your feedback will be reassuring to other patients accessing these services.

Best wishes for the future,

Paul Jebb

Assistant Director of Nursing (Patient Experience)
