I was referred to X Ray Dept at Queens by Ashby Health Centre late afternoon on 2/10/14 and told to telephone for an appointment in case of a fracture. Does that sound simple? I commenced phoning at 9.15am. One and a half hours later 3/10/14 and I'm still trying to get past the X Ray Dept answering machine and nobody is ringing me back from my messages. I tried to get the main switchboard to get through for me and they failed twice so they put me onto some Patient Complaint and Assistance(?) line and that was an answerphone too. I left a message on the complaint line to the effect of "are they all dead on the floor in there or what; is it better to try and emigrate taking my possibly broken foot with me rather than keep trying to make contact with the X Ray Dept?" When I eventually spoke to a live human being, it was like "what's the problem"? So somebody drove me in 14 miles and the waiting room was nearly empty and any number of white suited and blue suited assistants were happily walking around not looking stressed. Which is more than can be said for me. There is no Dept box for X Ray Dept below. Getting to this survey was difficult enough on line so it's probably not being read or maybe the answerphone is reading it.
