I was very impressed with the care I received when attending the A&E department a few days ago. They were clearly doing a hard job under difficult circumstances, and despite this they were caring and helpful. My only negative comment would be that the Clinical Decisions Unit is too small to deal with number of patients it does, I was in a wheelchair in the main waiting area and kept having to be moved about because I was getting in the way. People were also having to squeeze past me and kept knocking my hand, which was attached to a drip, and this was quite painful. Also, I couldn't get either of phones in the reception area to work. I know we live in a world where every man and his dog has a mobile now but as I didn't don't have a working one on me, it wasn't very helpful.
"Great staff!"
