I visited A&E Monday at about 5:30pm. I was extremely worried on arrival as the room was full but I went into the initial assessment within 10-15 minutes and then went in to see the doctor in another 15-20 minutes. They were clearly stretched for staff and very busy but the care was brilliant and the doctor I saw was the best doctor I have ever seen. He even took my blood tests himself when the nurses said there would be a delay because they were so busy. I was having panic attacks from the pain, sickness and dizziness but the doctor made me comfortable and calmed me down. My man was with me, she was she stressing in arrival but the doctor calmed her down and she was also very impressed with his care. I was given painkillers whilst I waited for the results so I was more comfortable and the sister who bought them out was very nice and made me feel comfortable. The assessment by the doctor was very thorough and they did 3 tests straight away. The doctor told me I would have to wait 90 minutes for test results and I was called back through to the doctor in 95. I can't express enough how impressed I was with the doctor I saw- he was friendly, made me comfortable, calmed me down, ensured the care was brilliant and quick, was thorough, helpful and explained everything well. The care I received passed expectations.
