"Gastroscopy Appointment 29/9/2014 at 1500"

I completely endorse all the points made on a previous Gastroscopy review made by Tony in August 2014 who gave a five star rating for his experience. "Fear of the unknown" is quickly counteracted by the friendly chat with the Doctor whose reassurance provided me with the confidence to go ahead without any apprehension. Tony correctly likened it to a visit to the dentist but I have had numerous dental appointments that have been far worse than this. The staff are very friendly and reassuring without exception throughout the whole process and the job was over in about 15 minutes. Throat spray is fine and leads you to wonder why sedation is ever necessary. Slight discomfort with the initial fixing of the equipment but then the rest of the Gastroscopy is a breeze and over before you think it has hardly started. Thorough deserved 5 star rating.
