"They left me waiting 90 minutes"

About: Kingston Hospital

I was early for my appointment at 8.40 and when I hadn't been called at 9.30, I had a hard time persuading a receptionist to ask a nurse why, given I was their second patient. Eventually, I was called, only to be met by a man who looked down, didn't introduce himself, and asked me 'where is your lump'. I had no lump. I had pain. More waiting for a mammogram, then my carer had to go to her next client so I had to go and I had no time to see the doctor again to discuss the pain. Three months later, I still have pain. I was referred back, someone rang, I asked to be seen without having to wait 90 minutes (they used to keep an eye on disabled patients using carers or transport), and they had to go and check if that was possible. They would ring back. They didn't. This must be the worst breast clinic in London. Everything is wrong. In the waiting room for mammos and ultrasounds, no one was happy. It was a very long wait. Fine if you have no life but if you do, the delays are hard to justify. I spent three hours and had one mammo and the short exam. Things used to be so different.
